Who we are

Our Team

We are a group of Christian men in the Ellis County area. We are mostly blue-collar workers and entrepreneurs. We are members of various churches from several different denominations. But we are unified in our vision: we want to dive deeper in our relationship with God, we want to hear His voice, and we want to fellowship and worship with other like-minded men.

What We Do

We host spiritual retreats for men. The idea to host these retreats was birthed from another retreat-like weekend our team experienced in 2021. After 3 days of study, teaching, and fellowship we came home desiring even more for ourselves and our community. After joking about hosting a retreat to encourage more men to experience what we experienced, we decided to actually give it a try. 100 men showed up on February 5, 2022 to our first retreat. It was clear that God was at work and that men in our area were searching for opportunities to encounter God and fellowship with other men. After much prayer and waiting on The Lord, we felt led to host another retreat on August 20, 2022. Since then we have held 5 more retreats. Saturday August 23, 2025 will mark number 8!

Why Be Still?

From our very first discussions about hosting a men's retreat we wanted God to give us a clear message and theme for our gathering. The Lord quickly communicated that message and theme to us individually and collectively. It was obvious God was asking us to "Be Still." Psalm 46:10 had become a mantra among our group even before our planning began. It was clear to us that God was wanting us to step away from the chaos and busyness of life and really practice stillness in His presence. He desires to speak to us, but often it's hard to hear His voice when everything around us is screaming for our attention. We felt God calling us to provide an opportunity for a large group of men to be still before Him - to be amazed by His awesome deeds, to experience His wonderful presence, and to listen to His voice.
